The importance of 'a room with a view', regardless of the weather. The living spaces in this bungalow did not take advantage of the views across the water and so, by creating bedrooms in the attic, the ground floor was re-ordered to allow a connection with the outdoors. The picture window gives an inside / outside feel that, on entering the house, draws you into the garden and down to the water
The coming together of two congregations to form a new one; following the sale of both George Square and Orangefield Baptist Church buildings, Greenock Baptist Church met in the local cinema, the town hall and a community centre before finding a new home in the former United Free Church building at St Andrew's Square
